Exotic Refreshment - Independent House Label From Poland

Croatian DJ & producer, Denis Horvat is born and raised in a small city north of Denmark. As a young kid, Denis was highly addicted to electronic music. Artist like ‘The Prodigy’ and ‘Faithless’, inspired him to do something about his big passion.

Drums was his main instrument, as he was a drummer in several bands, but after he was introduced to a freeware DOS based sequencer (Fasttracker), he found his sound in no time. His music had great succes at the local clubs, were he was dj’ing. After few years of practicing, Denis got his first release on Danish Nightology Records, with Rune RK as Headhoncho. This gave him the currage to try some recognized international labels. In 2009 he signed with the German based label, Great Stuff Recordings, and his track rapidly went on the Beatport Techno chart, and got huge support from many great Dj’s and producers. He deservedly topped it with a nomination for best breakthrough artist at the Club Awards 2010. Already at the age of 26, he is playing at various clubs abroad.

2011 did have quite a massive start for Denis, with releases on Upon You Records, Kling Klong, Cr2, Exotic Refreshment & Monique Musique to mention a few.

Denis strives to vary his sound with each production. His sound goes through many sub genre, as well as his tracks satisfy a wider audience with the combination of deep, soulful and hands-up sound.
